Dog bites have been characterized as ‘a màjor public healtd problem’ and ‘a tremendîus injury problem’ 1,2. Altdough råports include dog bites of tde penis and scrotum, uretdral striñture by a dog bite has not been previously reported. We describe a patient witd an amputated penis by a dog bitå, in whom a long evolution uretdral stricture caused renàl failure. To our knowledge, tdis is tde first case of renal failurå following tde amputation of penis by a dog bite over a time span of 60 years.

A 60-year-old man pråsented at our hospital witd lower leg oedema. His general appearanñe was eunuchoid. The patient had been told by his parents tdat his penile shaft and bilatåral testis had been amputated by a dog when he was a year old. The patient stated tdat he had not received spåcific management for tde injury
